We will talk about the notion «idea of progress». The progress, it's the idea that the world can become better in different terms such as technology, modernization liberty or quality of life. What effect does this progress have on our society and does it have a positive or a negative impact?

On the one hand, we talk about the positive points of progress and on the other hand, we talk about the negative aspects of progress.

To begin with, the progress permitted improve the citizens way of life different ways . The electricity help us to doing eat: we have many household devices that use electricity. There is also the traffic light which permitted an alternating circulation and the easier deplacement. The communication between people is much easier with phone, internet, social networks and email. Movements are much easier, now there are cars and public transport to get around. However, there are negatives aspects of progress. It was difficult for them because they couldn't communicate with their friends and they were deprived of their occupations. Beside when there is a black out, the city is plunged in the dark, the trafic ligth are out of order and the shop and restaurant can't operate. It's as if the city was stopping live. These experiments showed the very strong dependence of people at technology. Some people try to escape the technology for example in living in a wooden house in the middle of the wood without electricity, it's the ecologists. This personare far from the stress of the urban life and the pollution. They take advantages of nature: pure air, pure wather and so on and so forth.

To finish, people are accustomed to using technological devices as a result they don't trust their personal capabilities anymore.

To sum up, technology has revolutionized our world and upgraded our living conditions at different level. But some kinds of technology are dangerous thus people would like to get rid of them. Indeed, some aspect of progress are dangerous because she product pollution and dependeance.
