L'idée de progression pur une vie meilleure (synthèse en anglais)

Progress is a development to make our lives better. It deals with a lot of subjects like development of countries and of the world, new ways of communication, technologies and innovations and even personalities took part of progress ! It shows how the world have been moving through years to become the world we know now.

First, I would like to briefly introduce India and its people. Secondly, I will show that india is a country many contradictions and paradoxes yet nowadays.

I 'llalso mention the existence of the Dalits in India which is a real problem.

I'll take the problematic : Is India a developed country as it claims to be ?

India is a country in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country by area, the second-most populous country with over 1.7 billion people, and the most populous democracy in the world.

India is a rich country by its culture , its hightech cities and its 1,7 billion of inhabitants .

India is a country very attached to custums and it make its retarded.

For exemple the dowry . It's a old tradition which want that the parents of a girl pay a dowry to the groom family when she get married .

A lot of baby girl are killed because of this tradition , because poor parents can't pay a dowry .

Cast system are still exist in India . Casts are divisions of the population in four parts .

The persons who have best place are the priest , but te butcher and fichmonger are the dirty part of the society and are untouchable . Casts are transmitted from father to son .

India is not only a retarded country because of its developement .

In class we had take the exemple of Sirisha , an Indian entrepreneur who leave India for USA with her parents when she was little girl , and return in India . In USA sha have worked as an attorney and when she return in India she founded her own company called Quislex .

Her firm is on the same bulding as Google . She think there is a huge difference between the India she left and the today's India.

India's economy keeps transforming thanks to the rapid developement of the higt tech cities sector . India GDP has inscrising at an annual rate of 8 %

Cities are bulding , shopping malls and hotel which will accomodate global companies .

We can conclude that India is a developed country with its high tech cities , buldings on new firms but its also a country mark by the old traditions and custums .
