So let’s have a closer look on medical method of birth control. Such as sterilization surgery for women and men, sterilization implant for women and copper IVD. For each medical practices, I’m going to explain how does they operate, their advantages and their inconvenient.

In the first place, there is :

  • Sterilization surgery for women is a surgery of cutting the two fallopian tubes  you should know it is one time to do this procedure therefore it is important to thinks before acting. This procedure need a general anesthesia for the surgery so there are risks of bleeding, infection and pain.

  • Similar to fertilization surgery for men, the doctor cuts the tube from the testes too glands which are blocked. it is the same thing as sterilization of women.
  • Secondly, the sterelization implant for women is the tissue grows around a small coil placed in each fallopian tube which are blocked. This procedure needs a general anesthesia. The doctor places the implant in the vagina.
  • Finally, Copper IUD is an effective and simple method because the women don’t have anything to do. They just have to go to see a doctor for the prescription and to change the implant when it’s necessary
They use a small T-shaped device with copper and it goes into your uterus. It keeps sperm from reaching or fertilizing the egg. It may keep the egg from attaching to the lining of your uterus.Pros: Nothing to do right before having sex. Once removed, it's possible to conceive. Can be used while breastfeeding.Cons: May cause cramps or bleeding. However, you may become infertile or have pelvic inflammatory disease. In rare situations, the IUD could get stuck in or on your uterus or cause a serious infection.)

The hormonal contraception is only for women use, because it stops ovaries system.

They don’t protect against for sexual transmitted disease, and you need to see your doctor to give you the prescription.

It is  more effective than:

1 week per patch for the birth control patch

1 month per pack for the birth control pill and “ mini pill”

1 month for each ring for the vaginal ring

3 months for the birth control shoot

3 months -1year (prescription variable) for extended-or-continuous use birth control pill

3 years for the  implantable rod

3-5 years for the  progestin IUD

With the hormonal birth control You may not have your periods or less them, you may have less acne , You don’t have to  put anything before your sex relation if You Know your boyfriend STD history. If You don’t Know You should use another method like barrier or behaviour.

But  the hormonal contraception can change your body, for example bigger breast. You can gain weight, give you more appetite, perturbate your digestive system.

Behavior is something the women and his partner have to do, for example :

The abstinence, you have 2 types of abstinence :

This method is good for people have self control and can says “no” maybe the temptation will be very strong.

Withdrawal is when the man take his penis out and doesn’t ejaculate into the vagina.

It’s a free method but it’s not safe because the pre-ejaculation still contains sperm and the woman can be pregnant. That’s why you can use another contraceptive method.
