Robyn Rihanna Fenty, born February 20, 1988 in St. Michael (Barbados) is a singer, dancer, stylist Barbadian and occasional actress . Her mother has Afro-Guyanese and her father has Afro-Barbadian.

 She performed Mariah Carey's single "Hero" in a school talent show. Her life changed when one of her friends introduced her to Evan Rodgers, a producer from New York who was in Barbados for a holidays . Rodgers arranged for her to go to New York to meet Jay Z, CEO of Def Jam Records. She was age 16 when she was signed to Def Jam. Since then, she's amassed phenomenal success.

His music evolves mainly between R & B and pop. Rihanna has released six studio albums and two albums of remixes from the beginning of his career in 2005. Like Umbrella, Do not Stop the Music, Rude Boy , bitch better have my money and recently work. Rihanna has received numerous awards and honors , she is the fourth most powerful person in the world in 2012.

In the peak of her success, a tragedy struck Rihanna's personal life. On the eve she was supposed to perform at the 51st Grammy Awards, Rihanna got into a physical altercation with then-boyfriend Chris Brown. It quickly became hot news as Rihanna and Brown's romance had been under the spotlight all that year.
