Bride and Prejudice

I choose to talk to you about a film entitled Bride and Prejudice .The film was directed by Gurinder Chadha.

It was released on October the 6th 2004.

The mains actors are Ainshwarya Ray Bachman and Martin Henderson.

The film takes place in India, London and Los Angeles.

It speaks about a love story between Lalita, an Indian woman and William Darcy, an American Man.

Mrs Bakshi has only one idea in her head to marry her four daughters off.

Jaya, Lalita, Maya and Lakhi to rich Indian men.

Jaya gets married to Balraj, William’s Best friend.

Lalita meets wickam on a Beach and she invites him to Amristar.

She dreams about a love marriage.

During a reception, she meets William Darcy who falls in love with her.

The family is invited to Chandra’s wedding, Lalita’s best friend in Los Angeles.

On the plane, Lalita meets William Darcy.

During the wedding, Wickam tries to kidnap Lakhi.

Finally, she discovers wickham is not trusful and William Darcy in his love for her, is ready to respect the Indian traditions.

I choose this movie because I like Bollywood cinema and the gap between the two cultures (Indian and Occidental).

I enjoy this movie because I love romantic stories and comedies.
