We chose to show images of the Queen because she is the main subject of the song. There is a big contrast between the happy images of the Queen and her courtiers, and the angry singers and the demonstration. The pictures of the Queen are showed around the world and make people idolize her and the regime, but the song kind of tells what it’s really like to live in England and under this regime. As they assimilate her with a puppet of the fascist regime, we showed an extract of a show that makes fun of the royal family by using caricatural puppet. We also found a few images of the Queen dancing, and we thought it would be interesting to make it look like she is dancing on a song sang by people who hate her. It ridicules her, and make her appear as an idiot which is what we think the singers would want to show. Around the end of the song, the singers repeat “no future, no future for you” multiple times. The repetition and the rhythm reminds of songs or words that protestants would sing in demonstration.
