J.K.Rowling, of the real name Joanne Kathleen Rowling, born July 31, 1965 in Chipping Sodbury, in the South Gloucester Shire, southwest England, is a British author best known for her books like Harry Potter.

Her first name is actually Joanne Rowling. "Kathleen" is a first name that was added to her name when her paternal grandmother "Kathleen" died (a fact that greatly saddened her ).

His studies

In 1983 Joanne applied to be enrolled at Oxford University without success. She then joined the University of Exeter where she studied French and the ancient language from 1983 to 1987. She went to Paris in 1985 to perfect her French, which bore its fruit. She finished her studies with mention "fair".

This is a difficult time

In parallel with her new work, she continues her fantasy book. It is moving forward quickly and well and she is completing her favourite chapter, Le Miroir de Risèd, while she still has not left Portugal.

She married a Portuguese journalist named Jorge Arantes on 16 October 1992. Following a miscarriage, she gave birth to a daughter named Jessica Isabel Rowling Arantes on July 27, 1993. However, three years later, Joanne and Jorge are divorced. So Joanne goes to live with her sister with her daughter and, some time later, she moves (always with Jessica) to a building in Leith. Fortunately for her, Sean Harris, her best friend in high school, helps her financially by lending her money.

The writing of Harry Potter

She resumed teaching but this time to work there all her days. She must therefore hasten to finish "Harry Potter at the Sorcerers' School" (original title: Harry Potter and the Phiolosopher’s Stone) otherwise she would have to stop him because she would no longer have time to pursue him. She writes as often as she can.

Once she had finished her book, she sent the first three chapters to an agent, who sent them back to her. The second, on the other hand, asked him what was next because he thought it would be possible to have his book published. After several refusals, Barry Cunningham agreed to have them published. The novel was published on 30 June 1997.

Joanne is working as a French teacher at the Leith Academy.

The success of Harry Potter

Harry Potter was very successful, so she could afford to buy a bigger, more spacious apartment, which suited Joanne and her daughter much better. Money arrived in quantity, she was able to stop her teaching work and start writing the seven volumes of the Harry Potter saga full time. The first three volumes are a great success. Harry Potter and the Fire Cup is pre-sold to over one million copies.

On December 26, 2001, she married the doctor by the name of Neil Michael Murray. Their son, David Gordon Rowling Murray, was born on March 23, 2003. And on January 23, 2005, she gave birth to her second daughter, Mackenzie Jean Rowling Murray.

Harry Potter books and movies are very successful (400 million copies sold in total).

She is an author of novels written in English, but has studied French language and literature (she has also taught French). She is best known as the author of the Harry Potter saga, whose volumes translated into at least 65 languages have been sold to over 450 million copies.

She is one of the few authors who become billionaires through their books.
