It has been talked enough above about hegemonic masculinity in such an important areas; however, what about its existence in political leadership and how does that affect the individuals especially between the two genders?? .The role of men in South Africa is variable through time influenced by multi-factors: society, religion and mainly politics; and this are manifested while the case (concept) is altering, since the power beside the status is changing among not only men vs women but even between men themselves. According to xaba (2001) the dominance of masculinity in present-day is in continuity ,using the term ‘struggle masculinity’ to picture the poor men ;who were engaged in organizations of anti-apartheid

(Segregation); how they are treated as a liberators .And some men who had been active in the

Struggle became jobless and felt menaced because woman was given the opportunity to become head in the house since she will get rights, voice and more freedom, also becoming leader and activist in communities. As a consequence that let them to ring bells and feel the need to retrieve their power, especially in familial relationships. The study shows many cases who were feeling like victim sex pressing themselves as being discriminated against by both women and the society .But this is not the only model or form of hegemonic masculinity in the country; there is the usage of violence rom man to man in order to maintain political power or even an ordinary position including military sector such as soldiers, or policemen.

MamokgethiPhakeng (Office of the Vice Principal, Research and Innovation, University of South Africa) said that taking in consideration the latest report of the government on the status of women from the 12th in the world concerning political empowerment; though the report is quite helpful, it is ineligible on the matter of women vs men and leadership. For instance there is a significant number woman who is representatives in government whether in parliament, media or judicial domain, and this kind of a proof that the leadership among men and women has really improved.
