Because of a dark plot, Lincoln Burrows, a petty criminal, is wrongly accused of killing the brother of the Vice President of the United States. Sentenced to death, he is imprisoned in the State Fox River Penitentiary, awaiting execution. His brother, Michael Scofield, a gifted engineer, is convinced of his innocence and will help him to escape before the fateful date.
