In our time, work placement during the studies is something almost obligatory in the professional world. Sometimes your school doesn’t give you the choice to do it or not. But sometimes it’s not an obligation, which is why we are going to see why students should complete an internship during their studies.
Early work placement must be done for the student because it will give him many advantages in the future. For me, the most important thing is that the student will experience the transfer between the classroom and the business world even before graduating, and he will be able to see the difference between the both.
Secondly, doing an internship is going to put the student above his peers, and internships are appreciated on a CV. To illustrate this argument, I’m going to use the text « Students interns « three times more likely to get top jobs » » from The Telegraph on June 13th, 2013. In this text, Graeme Paton explained to us that more than a third of the students who had completed an internship before graduating had obtained a job offer, which proves this point. Moreover, you will be able to create a network of professional business contacts who may be able to help you in the future.
