The man in the first frame looks worried.

Th scene is about the girl’s boyfriend who was searching her everywhere via social medias until she asks him if he checked on twitter and in fact she was just in the bathroom and posted about it.

This situation reveals that nowadays social medias are essential and that we are constantly using them.

Reading and react

When they use social medias, teenagers are urgent and intense.

The second world represents social media.

Benefits : You can posts good-looking pictures of you

Disadvantages : Distracting you when you work, Create a life that you don’t even live….

I think I did suffered of FOMO; In my opinion the responsible are the telephone users because we should put down our phones sometimes and enjoy life.

Summary

The topic of this lesson is FOMO, the fear of missing out. It happens when you are afraid to miss something on social medias and your start getting anxious about it.

1/ • Information about Chris Messina

Chris Messina is a product designer who had work in the Silicon Valley for more than a decade . He also ran a company of consulting Internet He is the creator of the hashtag.

• Origin of his idea

The idea came from the chat room on Twitter and he though that it needed a certain type of organization so he decided to create the hashtag.

• How it was first received and Chris’s reaction

At first, people told him that it was nerdy and that it will never catch on and he laughed about it and told his friends to adopt this new concept.

• How the hashtag was finally adopted on Twitter and in people’s everyday live

A friend of Chris tweeted about the Santiago fire and he told him to add the hashtag on his tweet. People basically started doing the same. 2 years later, twitter added the option to search for hashtags.

2/ The document is an interview of Chris Messina and the invention of hashtag. It teaches us how he did to start from a rejected project to a viral invention used everyday by millions of people each day.

3/ I do use hashtags on social media.

In my opinion the hashtag is really useful because when you want to search something about a topic, you just have to write it after the hashtag and you’ll find everything you want to know about it.
