Language

Australian English reserves a few surprises. Some terms do not have the same meaning in Australia as in other English-speaking countries: common words have been shortened to the point of being unrecognizable, others come from Aboriginal languages or slang spoken by European convicts, when of colonization.

Religion

The religious beliefs of the Aborigines are based on the survival of the spirits of the ancestors, who inhabited the Earth at the time of creation (Dreamtime, or Time of Dreams), before the appearance of man. The spiritual energy of each ancestor circulates on the path he has traveled in the Dreamtime, reaching its climax at places with traces of its passage: a tree, a hill, a rock or a vein of clay, considered as sacred sites by the Aborigines.

So for all it's arguments I'd like to go to Sydney.
