In this notion about localisation and forms of power we are gonna speak about the power of music. Firstly we are gonna give a definition of this notion : In politics and social science, power is the ability to influence the behavior of people. In order to live together members of a community accept rules, regulations, laws. This helps to create social cohesion but can also lead to conflicts and tensions. Even when authority seems absolute, there are always counter-powers which question it, aim at limiting its excesses and resist it.

Music is actually one of the strongest forms of expression but we can ask ourselves to know :

Do the music is a form of power ?

I) Music : a form of expression

The music is , like we can see it in the interview of Darren James, a sort of galvanization that

we can use to influence a million of people if we are famous ...

II) Music during the slavery

There is two forms of music during the slavery :

- the work songs which helped slaves to be solidaire and to galvanize theirselves

- The coded songs which principally are used to send coded messages between slaves

or between slaves and some other black who are outside the plantations.

III) The actual power of music

Music can like we can see it now occuping a big part of our world. Some singers won more money than the president of the country where they came from.

Conclusion : To conclude we can say that music is a form of power because there is a kind of equality between all singers because they all can say what they want.
