Essay : Is it necessary to escape from your parents influence to establish your identity ?

Essay
Identity is like a building, which is never the same during our life. Each person have his own identity, which get in shape with experiences he lived and mistakes he did. Therefore, I think our componments are determined by the frame where we live, the way we see others and obviously the education that our parents gave us. We may wonder if it is necessary to escape to our parents influence in order to build our own identity.
I/ Yes
It is true to say that parents could be over protective. I’m the opinion that, if they are, I would naturally oppose myself to advises and more generally, to the education I receaves from my parents.
Besides it is the same if they are too much authoritary. I won’t be able to appreciate, the way they want me to listen without any critical mind.
II/ No
Moreover, sometimes, I could copy my father. For me, it’s not only a question of his influence on me, more a question of admiration, how I see him, a kind of icon/model. And I like it ! Look like my familly, to the people I love.
Furthermore, if parents are curious, serious and open-minded I think there is no need to rebel against the education or to change his componments. In the contrary case, it could be interesting to rebel against the parents influence in order to find the one which seems to be the right or almost the more adapted.
III/ Recap
To put it in a nutshell, I definitly think that our identity is based on what our parents teached us. The choice to escape or not from our parents influence depends on their understanding, of their way to see the world. However, I would say that the question of identity which goes with or against parents influence doesn’t really matter if we keep the aim to make good deeds. Just take advantage of advises, knowledge and love that parents could give us.
