Anglais : Lieux et formes de pouvoir

First of all, I will talk about the notion Seats and forms of power, since the beginning of the year we studied several documents about this notion, in order to illustrate this notion, I choose the empowerment of citizens and I will try to answer of the question: What is the impact of the new technologies to the citizens in the society?
To answer this question I will present you three documents, Think different, We Are 99% and Should WikiLeaks be banned?

The first document I have chosen “Think different” presents Steve Jobs and more particularly Apple, created in 1973, many products as iPhone are appreciated by consumers and now it is a powerful industry. These new technologies changed the way we live. Indeed smartphones marked a turning point in the society. Because almost everybody use smartphones nowadays and we cannot stop it. Nevertheless this technology which we use since almost 10 years permit to people to do anything, as surf on social networks and converse with our friends anytime.  


Next, the second document is “WikiLeaks be banned?” it is a newspaper article which presents different aspects of this Social Media. WikiLeaks is a social media use to denounce political things and to show the reality to the citizens with information given by Internet Users anonymously. This new Social Media can be good because it prevents people and denounces abuse of all sorts all over the world.
But it is also bad website, because it discloses confidential top secret information which can put somebody or a country in danger. Indeed, information is classified for good reasons and should remain that way.
