Questions:

First of all, at the beginning, I just went in South Africa for a humanitarian trip but then I fell in love with the country and I wanted a changement concerning my environment and I also wanted to discover a new country and meet new people so I decided to study in South Africa. Obviously there was a procedure to be able to study in South Africa, like for example I had to get my visa done, but at the end of the day, I feel really lucky to be able to study in this country.

Before arriving in South Africa, I didn’t really have expectations, I knew that it was the Rainbow Nation and there was a diverse society with a variety of ethnic groups and languages. I also knew that Nelson Mandela really helped the country to be free and even was president. And I really thought that it was a good country and I was really excited to come in South Africa.

I guess they don’t have enough money so there is some inequalities that I didn’t know about. And then I met a lot of people in S.A. who told me that it was really complicated to have access to the universities.

Mister Nzimande, I’m sorry but when you say that you’re trying to eliminate inequalities in the country, wouldn’t it be clever to start by making tuition fees cheaper ?

- Réponse au minister:

Yes but, my opinion of stranger here is really important because my vision represents what other people who are not from South Africa think. Furthermore, as I saw in Cape Town, I think that I’m entitled to say that there is a lot of inequalities in South Africa.
