Study this table which compares normal vs strong adjectives :

Note : Strong adjectives can use absolutely or really, but NOT very.

Now, can you find strong adjectives for the following :

1,3        Adjectives and Prepositions

Now complete the following phrases with a preposition from the list :

1,4        'Ed' or 'ing' ?

Amused or amusing ?  Many adjectives related to feelings have two possible endings .

A person can be frustrated.

A thing or situation can be frustrating.

Now complete the adjectives with 'ed' or 'ing'.

  1. It was the most exciting game I've ever watched.
  2. They were the most amazing graphics we'd ever seen.
  3. Losing the contract made them feel depressed
  4. I was disappointed by the update.
  5. The controls were awkward and tiring
  6. There were long, boring periods of inaction.
  7. Players were frustrated by slow progress.

1,5        Describe A Gaming Experience

Now, select a game of your choice and prepare a description, including the following elements :

  1. What it was.
  2. When you played it.
  3. What was the scenario ?
  4. What was the goal ?
  5. What did you like about it ?
  6. How did playing the game make you feel ?
  7. What you didn't like about it.

You have 30 minutes.  You will be given a mark out of 20.
