Croissance de la science et de la technologie (document en anglais)

Science and technology are growing faster than anything else , they are deeply shaping the world and our way of life. How the world would look like in 2050? Are we as a human being are going evolve as Darwin suggested in his theory?

Considering that new technologies are changing our social interactions, until 2050 a huge majority of world population is going to have connected devices like mobile phones. The digital world will overtake human interactions.Moreover the border between virtual and real world is going to disappear, in fact robots are going to enter in our daily life. As a result, human to human interactions will be loosed.

In my opinion major breakthroughs are in waiting in the medical sector. Indeed a chip inserted in our body, a kind of “personal doctor”, is going to keep an eye on our health indicators like heart beating, internal temperature and will also have the capacity to warn you or directly the hospital when it detects something wrong.

In the USA some agencies offer to choose the your's child gender or eye color, the complete control of human genome will lead us to choose everything about our child. It will also help us to make better treatments against genetic diseases by acting on chromosomes. In addition, now a days we test drugs either on animals like rats or monkeys or on cell grown on Petri dishes, but we cannot do it on human organs. Soon Scientists will be able to test in on replicated miniature organs, thanks to the 3D printers.

Last but not least, a better understanding of physic’s laws will lead us to break frontiers. Some events such as black holes are still difficult to understand in the future these phenomenon are going to be described by physicists. Besides NASA scientists are preparing to launch a base on Mars until 2020, in 2050 Moon and Mars are going to be permanent bases for humans; and spacecrafts may be used on a larger scale: offering the possibility to go on a space journey to common man.
