Founded in 2008, has had 65 companies go through its program. DreamIt has expanded from Philadelphia and now offers a program in New York and one in Israel. DreamIt’s most well-known company is SCVNGR, which last year raised $15 million at a $100 million valuation, according to TechCrunch. DreamIt also recently launched a year-long program for minorities called DreamIt Access backed by Comcast Ventures, which plans to fund 15 companies.

Their goal at DreamIt is simple: Help great people with great ideas build great companies.

Specifically, they give you:

Capital

Up to $25,000 of seed funding per company. ($5,000 plus $5,000 for each founding team member (up to four) who will be onsite for the program).

Coaching 1-on-1 Mentorship with leading entrepreneurs who have “been there and done that” plus donated legal, accounting & administrative help

Connections

Introductions to VCs and angel investors and an opportunity to pitch to dozens of them at Demo Day

Curriculum A weekly Speaker Series and regular check-ins with your Mentors and the DreamIt Managing Partners

Community Peers that will become lifelong friends & a collaborative work space

I think DreamIt is important for technology and business because it is a startup accelerator program, they wish existed when they started and sold their first companies.

New startups today need only a little funding, but they need more help and support than ever before. They need a community of fellow entrepreneurs to share ideas and inspiration, technologists to join their team, Mentors and coaches who have struggled on their way to a big success, legal and accounting services that don’t cost precious cash, and opportunities to meet and pitch angel investors and venture capitalists.

This has created a gap in funding, resources, and guidance for great people with great ideas who would like to start a company. They will able to create the next Google, their small, passive, non-voting stake in their company will be worth a lot of money and they will be worth much more that would feel good all around.

In more they don’t care about how old the person have or where he is from, they tried to find the next Mark Zukerberg.

And I think like I have said earlier, they responding to peoples who wants to create their company, with a great ideas but they have not enough or no money to do it. Dreamit is aware that there are geniuses on this planet and they just wanting to be discovered
