Water Scarcity in Brazil

A big environmental problem in the world

Origin

Today, Brazil has 12 % of world’s fresh water, but half populations suffer of water shortages.

Why? Half of this 12% water is lost in transport and pipes.

We can see a bad water distribution in this country too.

For example, in the North Brazil, in Amazonia, there is short of 7% of population and yet they have 70% of water!

In the west, there is 15% of water

In the south and south-East, there is 6% of water

And in the North-East, who is an abundant region, there is 3% of water

The origin of this water shortage is the rise in the country’s request and the dryness. The last one is caused by global warming, deforestation and water and atmosphere pollution. But Brazilians can’t persecute global warming.

Fortunately, several solutions exist to change

Conclusion

The more wells we dig, the more the water supplies deplete. When the ground water go down, the pollute water can penetrate into. Fortunately, several solutions exist in Brazil to improve Brazilian’s living conditions, like projects and associations. Moreover 16 million people live below poverty line among which half are children and youth.

Today, the scientists say that half of all Brazilian cities will suffer from lack of water in 2015.
