CEO ( Alix) : greetings, colleagues

the subject of today's meeting, as you know, is the establishment of offices, production sites and warehouses where we will be able to manage the import and export of products. Globex Corporation will celebrate its 25th anniversary this year and that's why I decided to establish us in the UK. As GC is an online business and has opened a few stores we need to choose the best location possible. First of all I would like to thank you for your presence here, thanks to mrs Victoire Cadet from London, Mrs. Noélie Rabeony from the south east, Mr. titouan Bouillon from Scotland and finally Mr. Dennis Albu from Wales. It is essential for us to establish our firm in the right place. You will explain me your locations and why you think this place is the best for the company.

Ms. Victoire I would like  you to start

Victoire: Hello everyone, thank you Alix for bringing us together today to discuss our exports and implementations in the country. I am Victoire Cadet, and I am one of the executives in the international development of the company. I think London is the ideal place to established our company. Between influence, people in search of jobs and accessiblity, London requires all for starting new offices.

Ceo: Thank you Victoire , Dennis your turn

Dennis: Nice to meet you all . My name is Dennis and I’m an executive in the international development of the company. I'm honored to be here today . This project is a significant opportunity for all of us . My background is in development strategy with the biggest firm . That’s why I’m here to present to you the option to implement GC in Wales .The reasons for considering Wales as a location for our business are many and varied

Ceo: Noelie please continue.

NOELIE : Hello everyone , happy to be here to discuss on a topic dear to my heart : the géolocalisation of our beautiful Enterprise. First of all, let me introduce myself, my name is Noélie and I am also one of the executives in the international development of our compagny. For that, during this discussion, I will propose you my ideas of why locating our company in the South East of England is the best solution to my eyes, and I can assure you that you will be convinced.

Ceo: And finally, please take your turn Titouan.

Hello enveryone, thank you boss for inviting me to this project it's a real pleasure. O I am BOUILLON Titouan and I am responsible of the export of our products to northern countries such as Finland, Denmark or Sweden. I am also a member of our company's ecological transition committee. So for my part I will mainly present Scotland, which for me is the place that mostly meets your conditions boss.

Ceo : thank you all, your locations seem to me very interesting. I would like to hear more about their accessibility, which seems to me to be an essential point in the imports and exports of our company.

Victoire: As regard the accessibility, London's infrastructure is among the best in the world. It is the main international gateway from the UK into Europe. Indeed, the international airport Heathrow with its 5 terminals but last but not least the London City Airport which has a single runway but was specially designed for short take-off and landing aircraft. It mainly serves the City, the financial district of the British capital. . Moreover, The Thames flows into the North Sea which allows a direct accessibility for boats to reach Europe like France, Belgium or even The Netherlands. Finally, the Eurostar also allows fast exchange between big European capitals and London. So, it really shows how London is accessible, and that it’s the great place for commercial import and export of products. That’s another reason why we should consider London as our next establishment.

According to me, London airport is not the best one cause of the many toursists arrived thank to this airport so this might cause a delay and and i don't think our customers appreciate the delay, if they choose to order on our site it's because they trust the quality and speed of the transport of their order, that's why an airport with less traffic would be preferable.

In Scotland there is an international airport but in my opinion a regional airport would suffice as our planes can land over short distances. An airport with less traffic would allow us to export across Europe and to the North. Furthermore, the Northern countries constitute 20% of the company's orders but we cannot ensure a suitable delivery time. Therefore, these countries can be connected by ship. The proximity of the port of Cairnryan and the Castle Kennedy regional airport are in my opinion an asset that will allow the growth of exports to the North and throughout Europe.

NOELIE : Okay, the question of the accessibility is of course not negligible. Taking the exemple of my region,South East of the UK, it is mandatory to admit there is nothing easier. There is an exeptional proximity with London because all of the region in englobing the capital so that it will facilitate national and international exchanges. Also, there are many connections to several national highways of the country.  The region is composed of 2 majors internationals airports : the Gatwick Airport who is the UK's second busiest airport, and Heathrow Airport, the UK’s first busiest airport, In addition, the coastline along the English Channel propose many ferry crossings to Europe.

Dennis: Regarding the accessibility Wales is linked by road, train and air to the major UK and European cities ,airports and ports It’s at the center of the UK . Besides Cardiff is at only 2 hours from London by high speed train .The Port of Cardiff remains one of the nation’s major ports, a critical trading hub for businesses in Wales and elsewhere in the UK. Its excellent location, transport links and facilities make Cardiff the ideal choice for customers moving a wide range of commodities .The port also offers exciting opportunities to develop and grow for the future. Moreover companies are linked to the world via the high speed fiber broadband .Wales is one of the best major location for ease of doing business according to the World Bank

Ceo :um I appreciate ..... but what else do you think makes your site the best?

Thank to the map, we can see that the windiest place in the united kingdom is scotland. If you choose this location, the wind turbines would allow us to power our offices and warehouse

NOELIE : Ok titouan your argument is really relevant but don't we agree that the wind is the worst enemy of aeronotics. You showed us that this is the region most subject to the wind. It is Therefore contradictory, airplane flights will not be secure enough, it is too dangerous.
