ENGLISH

A trader is a person who effects commercial acts and makes them his everyday profession. We must insist that business transactions must be repeated and constitute the normal activity of the person in question.

According to laws of different countries, it is necessary to take into account certain conditions for being a trader: age, nationality, marital status, honorability of character.

An independent businessman or sole trader is a shopkeeper who owns and manages his business alone. He is entitled to all profits of course, but he must also bear the losses incurred. He is responsible only to his creditors and the public and he is protected by and subject to commercial laws. He hires, pays and dismisses his employees. The capital invested in the firm belongs to the small businessman.
