England is one of the leading economies in the world. Is Gross Domestic Product per capita is of £22 907 (28 129€) which is average for the United Kingdom. For example if we look at Wales, we can see that there average GDP per capita is of £18 377 (22 566€) and again for Northern Ireland it is of £24 635 (30 251€). If you wonder how much is France GDP per capita, it is of £28 352 (34 816€). As you may have figured, England’s economy is the largest part of the UK’s economy.

England is a leader in chemical and other key industries like aerospace, arms industry, and the manufacturing side of software industry.

England used to be highly industrialized, but since the 1970s there has been a decline in traditional heavy and manufacturing industries in order to develop the services sector.

English cars are well known, for example Rolls-Royce, Lotus, Jaguar and Bentley even if some of them are now foreign own. They also are known for ther oil and petroleum from the English parts of North Sea oil along with aircraft engines and alcoholic beverages. Agriculture is intensive and highly mechanized, producing 60% of the food needed in England, using merely 2% of the labor force.
