In Hamlet Shakespeare’s and the play of “Andre’s Mother”, they both deal with a conflict between mother and son. In William Shakespeare’s Hamlet, Hamlet is disgusted by his mother because when his father died, his mother hastily re-married is husband brother, Claudius. He feels betrayed and hate towards his mother for her actions. This is shown when Hamlet says; “She married. O, most wicked speed, to post with such dexterity to incestuous sheets! In both stories hamlet and Cal loose someone very close to them.Hamlet struggled if he should avenge his father's death, to face what he has been avoiding, and this is similar to what Andre faced. Andre was stuck and did not know how to deal with the situations between him and his mother. He could of tell his mother and lose her respect or keep who he really was a secret, kind of like Hamlet's soliloquy, "To be, or not to be: that is the question: whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, or to take arms against a sea of troubles..." .
