Dear diary,

Today I went to the cinema to watch the Kid and secretly spend time with Elias. During the movie, we were sitting in the dark, when suddenly he touched my fingers. At this moment, I felt my entire body shiver and my heart beating faster. Though I enjoy immersing myself into the movies my senses could not stop listening to him. Moreover this moment we spent together I found it pleasant to me ; as if we are completly disconnected from the rest and the world around us does not exist anymore. How to explain such a feeling with words ? When he is near me: I feel nervous, happy, serene and even shy at the same time. I have never felt so alive in my whole life. Unfortunately we have to keep our story secret. I am scared of the consequences if someone see me with him. As the lights are on again, I panicked and ran away without saying goodbye. I am like addicted to him, even though we are different. He is everything for me. Still, I think our relationship will be a long lasting one, so that nothing will be strong enough to seperate us.

Differences can enrich relationships. Firstly, it's totally paradoxical to think that, but people who have different personalities and centers of interests can enrich their relationship on both a cultural ang intellectual way. For example, people are able to influence their partner and give to the other the opportunity to cultivate new interests and to learn new things they didn't know were possible before. Moreover like the ying and the yang, opposites attract and complement each other.

However, when someone's reaction is completely different than yours, you are at first surprised but it is an interesting way to be more open-minded and think twice about your way of reacting to situations. If people come from different countries, they habits or everyday life are, of course, not the same. Let's take for an example the fact that an American will not react and act like a French.

Given these facts, that I would say it's if both people in a relationship have complementary personalities the other differences between them will enrich their relationships.
