THE MOST POPULAR            SPORT [pic 5]

The most popular sport in France is the soccer. All people know what soccer is, two goals with eleven players in a big stadium. The goal is to put de soccer ball into the opponent goal without use hand. The game is divided in two parts called half. Each half is forty five minutes with additional time depending on the stop time during the half. It’s the most popular sport because it’s simple to play. In 2006, there were 264 millions players around the world and it was the most popular sport in three continents (Africa, South America and Europe). This sport started in 1904 with the international federation FIFA. 127

GIFT GIVING

In France the way they give gift is similar than in Québec, because it’s a developed nation. The families have good salary in general so they can give what their family or children really want. There’s no special kind of gifts for this country. But in general, children want video games, small car, doll and toys. The parents, depending of the family they have gift or they don’t have. As in Québec they also give gift in the special events like Christmas, Easter and Birthday. To get a good idea about what kind of gifts they have, it’s very similar than in Québec, so remember your last Christmas.

POPULAR GESTURES

The popular gesture is the wine at the diner. A lot of people drink wine it’s a popular gesture like in Quebec a lot of people drink beer but in France it’s wine. The other popular gesture is the bread commonly known as French baguette. It’s bread that they put under their arms.

The most desirable destination

All the people who visit the France want to see the popular Eiffel Tower. The Eiffel Tower is the wrought iron lattice tower on the Champs de mars in Paris. It was named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel built the tower. It was constructed from 1887-1889. The Eiffel Tower is the most visited paid monument in the world: 6,91 million people ascended it in 2015. Furthermore, they have also in Paris, The Louvre Museum it is the largest museum and historic monument in Paris. It is the world’s second most visited museum after the Palace museum in China[pic 6]

.ENTERTAINING AT HOME

The entertaining at home is very similar at the Canada because it’s the same way of live. The major difference it’s the water. In France, the water is like the electricity, you have to pay the number of water you take so the people take care about the quantity they use water. It’s a good way to economize the water and it’s good for the environment but it’s an additional cost for the consumers. The other difference is the brunch, the lunch and the diner time. In Quebec the diner is around 6p.m. but in France it’s around 8p.m. The important entertaining at home is greeting, in Quebec you just have to say hello but in France you have to kiss the person when you meet them.
