What is Reality TV:

Reality television consists of programs which purport to showcase people appearing as themselves in a variety of different contexts. Many reality programs revolve around competitions; others feature celebrities in their everyday lives. There are shows that center on small groups of otherwise unknown people, probing their interactions with one another.

Now we can wonder what are the major consequences of reality TV shows on the population and especially children nowadays:

The problem is that children take these ideas and apply them to their own lives.

Strong evidence shows that violent television programming contributes to children's aggressive behavior. Reality television programs are viewed by millions of people all around the world. One of the biggest audiences watching is children. Kids who view violent acts are more likely to show aggressive behavior but also fear that the world is a scary place and that something bad will happen to them. Also TV characters often depict risky behaviors, such as smoking and drinking, reinforcing gender-role and racial stereotypes
