It is all a question of practicality. It is always more practical and much more satisfying to be able to carry thousands of albums of the artists you love with you on a single device, than it is to be able to carry just one album. You can make playlists with thousands of artists on it. Streaming apps like Spotify are loved by young people. But also, families. Indeed, in homes, we are increasingly noticing that families are taking out a family subscription (which would be cheaper than taking out a subscription per person in the family, for business reasons) to always listen to music and by all members of the household. In my opinion, these applications are beneficial to the way our lives work: especially if you are often on your phone or computer. Music is one thing for me and many others, indispensable, that brings joy, a share of happiness… And these applications are very well made for that. However, there is a lot of competition. Applications must stand out. For example, the three biggest music streaming platforms are Spotify, Deezer and Apple Music. It will be seen that those with iPhone are more likely to use apple music for the brand. But what about Deezer and Spotify. Well, they just must vary the offers. Offers that are sometimes cheaper to attract, options not available on other platforms like the lyrics option on Deezer, or the reminder of music events near you on Spotify. Finally, so many possibilities that exist for these apps to make money. The one thing we're sure to remember is the ability to listen to music over and over again, for a bloody penny a month.
