First paragraph

In 1960, John Lennon a Liverpudlian is only seventy years when he created a band with two of his friends; Paul McCartney and George Harrison. At first, there wasn’t a fulltime drummer until they met Ringo Starr. During their little concert in a club in Germany, they were noticed by a local record-shop owner, who will be later their manager. In 1962, this one put them in a television show and only one year after, the Beatlemania overran the world. Girls screamed and fainted.

Second paragraph

In 1963, in a charity gala show with members of the British Royal Family, John Lennon criticized the Royal wealth that amused fans but not the Royal Family.

Third paragraph

On their United Kingdom tour in 1964, thousands of hysterical girls screamed and waited The Beatles. The police had to use water hoses to keep calm inside crowd. This event had been discussed in Parliament so there were hysterical crowds.

Fourth paragraph

73 million people viewed the band in a popular American television programme in 1964. Teenagers left their hair grow to do like their idol.

Fifth paragraph

Once, John Lennon said “We are more popular than Jesus now“. That was shocking and he received plenty of assassination threats. American fans burned all of their records.

Sixth paragraph

The last concert of The Beatles was in 1966 in San Francisco, before more than 25,000 people.

The Beatles songs stayed always in style because they sang about social problems in the world and these one remains the same.

Summary

In 1960, John Lennon created a band with Paul McCartney and George Harrison, his schoolmates. In Germany, when they played, their future manager spotted them and put them in the fame. Only one year after their first television show, they were famous in the entire world. Girls screamed their named, they fainted and they were uncontrollable.

In 1963, during a charity gala show with the Queen, Lennon criticized the Royal Family. In United Kingdom, during their tour, the policemen had to use water hoses to contain the Beatles’ fans. Beatlemania invaded the world and also the teenager’s fashion. Lennon did a scandal when he said The Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ. Lennon received several assassination threats.
