                 Martin Luther-King      

Martin Luther King was born the 15th january 1929 in Atlanta.

He was a very famous political man and a non violant activist for the black’s civil rights. He had a big role in the Afro-American emancipation in the U.S. in a part thanks to his speech of « I have a dream » wich is calling to the brotherhood betweens black and white people.

Luther King was elected at the head of an organization wich was created after that a black woment named Rosa Park said no to a white man because he wanted to take her place in the bus. So she was arrested by the police. But then black people begun to react and created this organization against the bus company. At the end the hight court said that the bus company was « guilty ».

Luther King with around 10 black peoples , created a national organization  named SCLC (Southern Christian Leadership Conference).When he became the president of this oragnization, he decided to extend in the hall country his non-violant fight for the blakc’s civil rights.

In 1958, he travelled on Gandhi’s steps where he met Nehru.

He met too some hight personalities like Eisenhower.

Martin Luther King was not only admired and respected : he has sudden multiple attack from his adversery  like an accusation of fiscal fraud, he was beated by the police, an attempted murder and plenty stays in prison. While he was behind bars, Kennedy and other people helped him for his liberation and that is what happend in 1963.

The 28th of august 1963, he said his speech « I have a dream » in front of 250 000 people during the Washington’s walk for th work and the liberty.

He receved the peace’s nobel price in 1964 after he met Willy Brandt and the Pope Paul the VIth.

But one day, his influence begun to drop         because the people were more attracted by the violant methodes of Malcom X than the non ones of Luther King.

When Kennedy wich was seen as the black’s defender was killed, Luther King retired for a whiled during the riots of Watt in Los Angeles.

In 1965, Luther King was present when the President Johnson signed the « Voting Rights Act » wich was saying that everybody will be like everybody.

After that, he wanted to fight against the misery of the Afro-American and organized a walk for it.

Sadely he was killed a bit before that walk in his hotel room in Memphis the 4th of april 1968.
