                                        Work on Airbus

        Airbus was an European aircraft manufacturer. The Airbus Company of Saint-Nazaire (Nantes) was created in 1970.  Boeing was his main competitor and was created in 1917 during the first world war. The airbus company was created for competitive with Boeing. Airbus was a merger of many french and german aircraft company and Arbus was born. At the beginning Boeing was a monopoly, he was the only one which can answer a high request. After the creation of Airbus , he was an oligopoly in the market of planes. So Airbus was in a competitive market with Boeing. Airbus was split in Europe : in French, Spain, Germany and England. The airbus planes are assembled in Toulouse and are sended to the airline company of the world. So it makes the economy and the profit of Airbus evolve.

        In the Airbus company of Saint-Nazaire,the cockpit and the central section was product. There are many sector in th company of Saint-Nazaire : Polaris (assembling) and Comete (designing/conception) and the sector was splited in 3 workshops : assembling, painting and device. The other Airbus company in Europe product the others parts of the planes and are assembled in Toulouse. Airbus cooperate with European country. It's a company at the world level but it's a european company. Airbus is a big company. Airbus product many different planes : A320-A321-A350-A380-A400M- Beluga (cargo). Airbus product goods. In Saint-Nazaire there are 3000 member of staff.

        Airbus use the strategy of concentration because it's a merger of many company. And use the 2 factors of production : the crucial factor and labour factor. Airbus has decide to use more crucial factor than the labour factor. It's his choice of the productive combination. There are a high request against a lack of offers. There are more exports than imports. The only importations are the parts that come from the other Airbus company in Europe. Airbus is implicated in 3 aviation sectors : military aviation/ air force (A400M), Cargo transportation (Beluga) and passengers transportation (A320/321/330/350/380)

        Airbus product their planes in Europe. Airbus dominate the market of the A320, he has 60 % of the share of the Market. Airbus product a lot of A320 but according to the request, Air bus can make a A321, a largest airpliane than the A320. Airbus has made innovation : the oldest airplanes was product with aluminium but it's heavy, So the new airplane (A350) are made with carbone and composite material. It's more light and the airplane consume less fuel. Today Airbus product 52 A320 per month but they would like to product 60 A320 per month before 2019. The pace of A380 falls so the request falls. Before 2018, Airbus will create the Beluga XL, a new bigger cargo planes  To improve their productivity, Airbus product their planes in lines, the planes move laterally so its fastest.
