CMT company wishes to maximize its daily revenue. So, how many tons of zinc, lead and silver should it use respectively?

Inputs:

  • Let the total number of zinc daily input be = Z
  • Let the total number of lead daily input be = L
  • Let the total number of silver daily input be = S

Parameters:

  • CT: Cycle time for machine 6 to 9
  • P (z): Price of zinc
  • P (l) : Price of lead
  • P (s): Price of silver

Objective Function:

The total profit the company makes is given by the total number of daily inputs of Z, L and S multiplied by their per unit price respectively:

                                             MAX    X =   L * P(l) + Z * P(z) + S * P(s)

which means we have to maximize X.

Constraints:

The company will try to produce as many units of Z, L and S to maximize the profit. But the resources are available in limited amount.

Results:

After entering the Linear program into the solver, it shows that in order to maximize its total daily revenue CMT needs requires a daily input:

  • Lead : 80 tons
  • Zinc : 10 tons
  • Silver : 504,05 tons

Given these findings, the maximized total daily revenue X is 277.412.552,7 MAD
