Holder of a marketing technology baccalaureate in 2012.

I have accumulated 7 years of professional experience in various trades in industry and logistics.

I held the position of Team Leader of fruit and vegetable order pickers for 2 years.

In 2019 I made the decision to retrain in the world of transport. To do this, I integrated a BTS in Transport and Associated Logistics.

CONTEXT

Primagaz is a butane gas and propane distribution company, created in 1938 and a subsidiary since 1999 of the Dutch group SHV Energy. It ensures the storage, conditioning and distribution of butane gas and propane. This company has more than 700 employees, all based in France, in 2019, it holds a twenty-two percent market share.

Its transport activity is the distribution of propane gas in tanks and the distribution of bottled gas.

I hold the position of dispatcher within the bulk gas distribution service in the Paris sector (departments: 75-91-92-93-94).

ISSUES

Communication in a foreign language related to the professional situation presented

  • We are Tuesday, September 29, 2020, today I am working with 5 drivers. As the prime contractor, I created and then sent the upstream routes to the transporter so that each driver could complete his route according to the established transport description.
  • It is 10:30 am, Primagaz "WebHelp" customer service provider informs me by phone that a customer has just run out of gas.
  • I ask my interlocutor to pass me the customer on the phone so that we can find a solution as soon as possible.
  • We are in communication; I start by introducing myself in French. A woman answers me in English, telling me that she does not master the French language, that she is the wife of the restaurant manager.
  • I represent myself in English, I propose to delivery the next day. She replies that the restaurant must provide its midday service or at least that of the evening.
  • One of my drivers passes 10 km from the restaurant around 2:00 p.m., I then offer him this compromise.
  • The customer tells me it's perfect and apologizes for not ordering earlier.
  • I conclude this communication with the polite expressions and guarantee the delivery of the day
