obviously, studying abroad was a hug step and change fo me because i was pretty sheltered growing up. I had no idea what the world outside of the US was really like; I felt like a moden-day explorer or adventurer starting out to see the world.

It may sound a little ridiculous, but I was very proud of myself. I was very proud of myself. I was able to make it on my own aboard. I udes to be shy and , little by little, I was competent enough to peform any simple, daily tasks like going to the market, using public transportation, and navigating though the city without getting lost.

The more I travelled, the more confident I felt. I was living, studying, travelling and exploing safely and successfully  all on my own. I was actually enjoying myself in another language.

Travelling also greatly helped me grow and become much more independent. Travelling opens you up to so many new places, people and ideas. Travelling is the adventure pat of studying abroad. What you learn in the classroom comes to life and is put int pactice. Travelling also requires some adaptation and tolerance. Not only do you have to adapt to foeign environments, lifestyles, and customs, you have to tolerate these differences and work toward seeing them in a more positive light.

I frequently travelled alone in Spain ans visitied a lot of other European and Scandinavian countries. I also travelled to Morocco in the North Africa. Thanks to all these travel experiences I found out more about myself. It was challenging t travel on my own,but I feel stronger now. I know I can get along with any person I meet in the future. I hope I have become a more tolerant person who finds difference not bad, but rather just diffeent and interesting.
