China new silk road

The chinese president Xi jinping while he was giving a speech in Kazakhstan in 2013 he mentioned the ancient silk road which was a network of trade routes that spread goods and culture the Europe,Middle East and China back in 200 bc. Xi said"We should take an innovative approach and jointly build an Economic Belt along The Silk Road". China's Belt and Road initiative is the most ambitious infrastructure project in modern history it is how China plans to take control of global trade and also become the world's new superpower. The project has two components :

-An overland Economic belt of 6 corridors that serves as new routes to get goods in and out China like the railway that connects China to London and the Gas pipelines from the caspian sea to China and also the high-speed train network in South East Asia.

-A maritime silk road which is a chain of seaports stretching from South china sea to Africa that also direct trade to and from China.  

 The BRI also includes oil refineries , industrial parks , power plants , mines and fiber-optic networks - all to make it easier for the world to trade with China . So far over 60 countries have reportedly signed agreements for these projects , the list wil be growing because China promotes it as a win-win project . For example Pakistan that wasn't a place for foreign investment , until China came along and built in2001 a brand new port in small called Gwadar and by 2018 the port as well as a highway and  railway networks became a 62 billion dollar Corridor within the BRI and it's where the Economic belt meets the Maritime Silk Road , Pakistan's GDP reached highest growth in 8 years and also started building tight relationship with the Major world power (China) . China also found a way to boost its economy through projects like these by making  7 chinese construction companies in top 10  global construction firms .
