METHODOLOGY

In order to write a speech, you must:

1. Determine who you are writing to?

- a group a young people

- a specific group (women, an ethnic group, workers...)

- potential voters....

2. Make a list of words in connection with the subject.

3. Follow the following rules:

- use simple words and simple sentences: your objective is to deliver a message and make sure your audience remembers your message.

- make references in connection with your subject: numbers to justify your point (23%, 2 out of 3), refer to famous people (politicians, freedom fighters...), refer to historical facts or current facts that are clear to the audience (a reference to Martin Luther King if you talk about the Blacks in the US, refer to Gandhi if you refer to non violence or India, refer to Greta Thunberg if you refer to the environment...), refer to documents (Constitution, Declaration of Independence....)

- Think about synonyms and antonyms:

EX: justice/injustice

freedom/prison

Men/women......

Freedom/liberty

- when writing your speech, think about musicality and rhythm: a speech is like a song, so give rhythms to your speech

HOW? Use rimes, alliterations, assonances, repetitions of words.....

- Flatter your audience: My dear friends, Comrades, My fellow citizens.....

In short words that include all the people and create a connection/a bond with them.
