Immigration has been a real question in the United States for centuries. The American Dream is the symbol all over the world of success, money and glory within the reach of all. For many people Arnold Schwarzenegger is a living embodiment of a success story.

He was born in Austria in 1947. At the age of 21, he arrived in the US speaking little English and his muscles were all he had. A year later, he became a millionaire, by investing money earned from winning bodybuilding contests in a business of selling equipment for his sport. He won the Mr. Olympia title seven times which is the highest reward in bodybuilding sport.

At the same time, he studied business and worked on refining his accent. He got three doctorates, including one in economics.

His sport allowed him to be knew in Hollywood and to realize his dream to become an actor. And that is why he decided to immigrate.

In 1982 his dream became reality with the movie “Conan the Barbarian”, his first lead role.

In 1984 he played the lead role in the movie “Terminator” who made him famous all over the world. In the 1980s and 1990s, Schwarzenegger became a Star and one of the most paid actors.

In 2003 he decided to completely change his life and turned to politics. He became governor of California for 7 years. Nowadays he continues to play some acts in some movies but not with a lot of success.

He became one of the most successful men in his sport, then a Hollywood star, until becoming the governor of one of the largest states of US.

Today I think it won’t be easy because since Donald Trump’s election as president of USA, and his reinforcement of the laws on immigration, it’s much more uncertain to imagine such a success story. Except if you still believe in the American Dream!!!
