Nowadays, new technologies are everywhere and are part of our daily life. Internet is a fantastic means of communication. We can easily communicate with people all over the world. Can we have trust with Internet?

First I will talk about Internet and its advantage and on a second time about its disadvantages.

One the one hand for example, we saw in the text entitled “Love at the first site” that with Internet you can meet people. There are a lot of single persons everywhere but it’s difficult to bump into them because nowadays working takes a lot of our time. Their professional careers are very important. Consequently, people have longer working hours and less free time. That’s why they resort to Internet. On the net nobody knows who you are. So you’re tempted to lie about your physic in order to correspond to these stereotypes: a man is handsome if he’s tall with muscles and a beautiful woman must be tall and slim.

Men can be less shy and can show their real personality whereas in real life their often play a role and want to appear virile and women don’t have to get smartly dressed or put make up. Beside, they can flirt when they want.

But on the other hand Internet could be dangerous. The visual document “Honesty on the Internet” showed us that it could represent a danger because you don’t always know who is the person you’re talking to, it could be a psychopath or murderer.

Indeed, people can lie easily about their picture, profile and age in order to meet teenagers on Facebook.

Facebook is a social network that connects people with friends but some users has so many friends who don’t really know all of them.

You can share pictures and information. Besides many persons can see your personal life.

To conclude, Internet is essential in life nowadays. You can meet you soul mate or your best friend. Download music and film, play video games or even make research for school. But you must use it with carefulness and you mustn’t be disconnected from reality. Internet is the next revolution because it’s quick, easy and cheap and I’m convinced that in the future everyone will be connected.
