After several long hours of travel, we arrived on Sunday evening at Broadstairs. Jeremy and I met for the first time our host. She was an old woman. In the beginning, it was a bit strange because we were uncomfortable, but during the dinner we discovered that she was a friendly and nice host.

Monday morning, we went to school. We weren’t in the same classroom, but I was with other friends. I liked the people in the class, but I didn’t really like the teacher. I thought she quite strict and unpleasant, and sadly, the lesson was boring in my opinion, I didn’t enjoy it. After school, my friends came by my house. It was the funniest thing I did this day. During the evening, we had an activity with all the people from Mater Dei: we did street dance, but I didn’t like it.

Tuesday, we had a new teacher. I doubtless preferred him to my first teacher because he was funnier and explained better. During the break, we could play snooker, ping pong or baby-foot. After the break, we spoke about the famous places in London. I have never been to London, so I learned about the most important places in London, for instance, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham palace, …  [pic 4]

In the afternoon, we went to Canterbury. It was a lovely city which is mainly known for its cathedral. The interior was huge and beautiful but, unfortunately, the outside was under renovation and there was plenty of scaffolding. A negative point of the town is that there was almost nobody, it seemed a ghost city. We had an activity in the evening. We did a karaoke. It was really great, everybody sang once.[pic 5]

Wednesday, after the lesson in the morning, I went with my friends for lunch to KFC. The fast-food wasn’t far, we just had to walk for fifteen minutes. There we ordered two big buckets of chicken. The food wasn’t amazing; however, it was nicer than the lunch that the school gave us. [pic 6]

After the lunch break, we went back to school. We learned how to ask for directions and find our way using a map. We did this exercise on a map of London and we had to find the best way between famous places. I thought that was interesting although if I was lost somewhere, I would use Google Map on my phone.

In the evening, we had an activity called Drama. There were some littles games. For instance, we played one game called Freeze. We had to run in the room, until the leader said freeze. Then we had to freeze otherwise we lost. It was enjoyable. After the activity, I went to sleep early because we had a big day the next day. [pic 7]

We left Broadstairs early in the morning. After a few hours, we arrived in London. We started the day by visiting Greenwich. [pic 8]

Then we took a riverboat on the Thames. Fortunately, it was sunning, so we could go on the boat deck. We saw the Tower Bridge, The London Eye, …

Afterwards, we discovered a bit the capital of the UK. We also went to British Museum. Inside, we saw a YouTube star, EnjoyPhenix. But she was quite haughty and rude. After we had some free time to eat and go sightseeing the city. I visited with my friends Piccadilly Circus and the Oxford Street. We went to M&M's world too. [pic 10]

In the evening, we went to the Cambridge theatre where we saw the play : “Matilda”. It was amazing! I really like the actors, and I thought the decors and the song were really well done. After the play, it was snowing but it was the time to go back by ours hosts. [pic 11]
