To start with, let me tell you about his life.

Then, I will explain how he became a universal symbol of Reggae.

Robert Nesta Marley, called Bob Marley, was Jamaican.

He was a singer, songwriter and guitarist.

Rober Nesta Marley was raised by his mother.

He was born on the sixth of February 1945 in Nine Miles in Jamaica.

His father was a British officier.

Bob Marley spends his adolescence in a Kingston ghetto to leave the poverty of the countryside.

He began his career with Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer and created “The Wailing Wailers”.

Their first album was “Simmer down” released in 1964.

He wrote his songs such as Burnin 1973, Babylon by bus in 1978.

His music style is reggae.

Bob Marley was married to Rita Marley. They have (temps) 4 children.

In 1981, he died of bone cancer.
