INTERVIEW

- Hello! Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions? First I would like you to present your work and why did you choose to be an explorer?

- As you said, I’m an explorer; I travel every day around the world, discovering new landscapes. I chose this job because when I was little, I grew up by the sea ans I was passionate about the boat.

- What an original and interesting job!! We have the same passion because like you, I love travel. I heard about your trip in Australia why did you choose this vast country?

- To be completely honest with you my first choice wasn’t this country…

- So why ? This country seems so beautiful!

- Indeed, but I wasn’t interested about Australia, because I had lots of prejudices. I thought that it was similar to United States. A country that I really feel know!

- But how did you arrive on this territory?

- I was travelling to see my son who was on vacation in India. But a storm force me to stop on the Australia coast. I stayed more than 1 month stuck there.

- Wow what an amazing story. How was your month in Australia? Did you finally decide to visit Australia despite your prejudice?

- Sure! A very nice aboriginal family welcomed me for some days. I could discover their traditions during this time and they told me their history.

- You have been lucky! Today, because of white’s arrival in ……… Aborigines represent only 2% of the population. Could tell us one of their traditions?

- Of course! I can talk to you about Dreamtime; the dreamtime which is the center of aboriginal spirituality is a term used to describe "the time before time" this Myth refers to the period before any humans were born. Tradition tells that spirits created the world and people. They made rivers, plants and animals. They believe that the spirits gave hunting tools and land.

The aborigines heard this myth when their ancestors were playing didgeridoo.
