First of all I will analyse the document, in this cartoon made by Rodrigo named Disappearance of poverty we can see how apart from each other are the population of one same place because of inequality, in this case the inequality corresponds to income or money inequality.

There are men dressing luxurious clothes sitting on the top of a bag of money which says inequality, it’s no coincidence that these men are at the top of the cartoon, this shows them as important and powerful. At the lower part of the cartoon seemingly a much larger number of extremely poor people are begging for money.

And the final part of the description is the dialogue, “All I know is every time I look I see less and less poor people”. At first it was difficult to understand what this meant but later I realized that this had two points of looking at it, maybe it depends on the country, from one point of view he may be saying that because of the improving management of governments in order to solve this inequality, this would be the good point of view but later I found out there is another possible interpretation which is the following the inequality bag getting so big that people at the top cannot really see all the poor people, this is the bad point of view.

The real question here is how does income inequality affect development, since development is calculated from GNI/capita, life expectancy at birth and Expected and mean years of schooling (HDI), we can assume at a first guess that inequality doesn’t take part in development but actually I think it does because for example income inequality can affect our access to education: mostly in less developed countries children must bring money to their homes in order to help their families, this often ends up in them dropping out of school which affects the mean years of schooling index.                                                                                                                                                Our access to proper healthcare: not every country has good and free healthcare for all, some hospitals which offer a much better service in comparison to public ones are so expensive that most people don’t have access to them, this creates an inequality in the life expectancy at birth.                                                                                                                                                                                                               Finally the clearer example: GNI/capita makes the inequalities much more evident not really at national scale with this index alone but at the global scale it’s easy to see the differences between countries we could put at the top of the bag americans and at the bottom people from Burundi, one of the poorest countries in the world and the cartoon would make sense

So after my analysis I think this document is not only relevant but is also a good illustration of a changing situation of development in the world.
