Space and exchanges

Space is a location. A surface that is had about whereas different exchanges exist: cultural, of persons, of information, of services or still commercial. These exchanges so to be changed and they have each one different aims. We will begin with the invisible exchanges and we will end the illegals exchanges.

Invisible exchanges:

  • Invasive species: Pythons invades the Everglades:
  • Since their arrival the number of small size animals such as raccoons, opossums and rabbits has crashed from 90% to near destruction
  • It also reduced the population of other predators that missed their usual preys
  • In fact, remains of about all living species in the Everglades were found in the captured snakes bellies, which put the Pythons at the top of the food chain in Florida.
  • Other factors at a microscopic level may have contributed to the mammals’ disappearance. Of course, the Pythons are the obvious suspects. They can be seen and are doubt leastly guilty.
  • Nevertheless, what can’t be must be taken into account.
  • Pollution might be one of the other invisible killer.
  • They can declare the Pythons an “injurious species” and so control and regulate the impact.
  • Some more decisive and delicate actions may be taken too as a hunting season.
  • Nevertheless, except for the cold, Pythons don’t have predators and their reproduction capacities are abnormal. (100 eggs for one female)
  • Except for microscopic changes in water, the scientific community all agree: Pythons are guilty.
  • Reptile breeders are the top of the list along with all kinds of wild pet importers.

Illegal exchanges:

  • Human trafficking:
  • The main reason for modern-day slavery is first a vast pool of people living in misery, having no education and furthermore few choices in life.
  • They represent the perfect victims for traffickers.
  • Most people are not ready to do certain things even for money. Therefore, slavery is the best means to provide these demands.
  • Finally, we can see demand is focused on prostitution and the sex industry.
  • It represents almost half of the modern slave population.
  • 50% of them are children and 75% are women.
  • Most of the time the victims flee desperate situations.
  • Of course, it is of 10 overseas, yet the domestic issue should not be ignored.
  • The undocumented, the uneducated and isolated are the first targeted.
  • However, nobody is in more and for some reasons ever you can be tracked into becoming a slave because traffickers come from all countries across gender and social differences.
  • ¨People are lure or forced very often both.
  • On one hand they are broken down by violence, humiliation and isolation.
  • On the other hand, they are cajoled and befriend by their oppressors.
  • Most of them are indebted to their oppressors like indentured servants were in the past.
  • Thus, they are stuck in an endless dept cycle.
  • Eventually fear’s is the major factor. Fear of the oppressors or course but also fear of running away and facing shame or prison because believe they are indeed the criminals.
  • It is growing because it is a cheap labour force without any claims.
  • So, they are perfect for unscrupulous entrepreneurs.
  • It is growing because we don’t want to questions our way of life and would rather be unaware of the ins and outs of the supply chains.
  • It is growing because we don’t to look beneath the surface and would rather advocate the head-in-the-sand policy than being confused to our own evils.
