Hi and welcome to my knew vlog of my gap year in HongKong during 2 months.

First of all, we must know that HongKong has a massive problem of pollution, especially because of the Dong, the river that crosses HongKong cause it crosses all of China and collects all the waste from it. In addition, Hong Kong has a large container port, then , when one of them falls, it creates a lot go garbage piling up on beaches. Moreover, there is a massive fishery in the China Sea that creates even more pollution, such as polystyrene beads and fishing nets that are also used on the beaches. And of course, the gouvernent doesn’t act next to this huge danger, there are no sorting by the Hongkong population. But I speak but all the country around like Philippine, Malaysia, Vietnam, India, are all agreed by this problem.

So my gap year was to clean beaches of Hong Kong. I was on lots of tiny and remote island that were totally brooding of garbage of all kinds. And the Consulate of France has also participated in an environment projet. We can therefore see that France is taking action and taking this problem into account.

In the end, I can say that this experience has thrown me on the danger of plastic because, when we picked up garbage, we saw a lot of dead animals, especially fish, and we were upset to see this cemetery. Furthermore, it has enabled me to make new friend. And during this gap year, I was able to use my time to recharge ma soul acquire like skill, because I was in a completely different country so I discovered the Chinese culture, and master my Chinese. And of course, it allowed me to take a break from my studies, without this trip, I would have given up. For me, travelling is a unique experience and we must take advantage of it, we must travel meaningfully. It was a very difficult experience because of the heat, but also handling the waste with our hand. The association worked with is the Hong Kong Sea Protection.
