MEETING TRAVEL AGENCY

Hello everyone, I hope everyone is well. As planned, we are having a meeting today to take stock of everything that is happening in the agency. Before we start, I would like to thank you for coming because some of you had to decide, so thank you.

I'm going to avoid wasting time and we're going to start, so today I've asked the finance, communication, and marketing departments to come and talk about certain points to move forward as best we can during this new year.

So, following the corona virus pandemic as you know our results were not good, but we were able to improve last year and our forecast for this year is to increase our turnover by 12%, I would like to know if you think that this can be done and how you can respond because we still can't get back to the same figures as before the pandemic.

I am referring to your note int Item 2. With my team, the finance department, we were able to see how to better manage our expenses. We have to try to maximise our offers during the periods when people go away the most, so it's often in the summer, in the winter, whether it's the Christmas period or even around February.

We have to focus on these periods! Most families leave when their children are on holiday, so we have to invest as much as possible during these periods to attract as many families as possible.

If you look at this line chart, you will understand why we have to spend the most of our communication budget during the period from May to August. We can see that we reach a peak in August of almost 130 million dollars. Despite variations throughout the year, it is obvious that we notice the sharp drop of more than 100 million dollars between September and October period. We should probably avoid communicating too much so as not to waste money, as this is a very important budget for our results.

It is possible that some people go without their children and therefore avoid the school holiday periods so that it is not too crowded.

Is it true; I think we should probably organize this budget better. My marketing team had new ideas; we studied the behavior of our potential consumers. Most of the people who take our agencies have between 35 and 65+, many people did not answer our survey because they do not really use computers.

We have seen that young people do not leave at the same times as families, single people or just couples, and can leave in March, April, May, November, because that is often where they are allowed to go on vacation. Our idea is to offer more interesting offers with less family spirit during these periods. A mix of activities, routes, places to visit and destinations would be more interesting. We can see that young people today are going off on a whim and going their own way and we’re going to do everything we can to make their heads look like our services.

I really like the ideas that the marketing department had, I admit that our communication was done a lot on Facebook, less on Instagram and tik tok since it is more networks of "young people". The communication team had the idea of partnering with some hotel chains and hypermarkets, so we would have small campaign days.

Yes, I can recognize that the communication service costs the company enormously but after such periods it was essential that we communicate the maximum

Young people don’t want to spend too much money when they travel, they won’t use a

travel agency, it would be too expensive.

As we can see, we have a lot of accounts and we thought that if we spent more time on Instagram and tik tok it would fit into the project of the marketing department and continue the partnerships and even contests with guests. We also thought about trying to work with influencers.
