Communication is important in human’s life; it’s a way to exchange messages, feelings and thoughts between each others. Many scientists decided to study how people interact with each others and their environment to develop an effective communication that would help human in many domains.

Here is the corposant a communication act :

  • Sender
  • Message
  • Medium
  • Receiver
  • Feed Back

We can talk about an effective communication when there is a feedback- as a response to a message from a receiver.

As business is professional, effective communication is important and essential for positives impact on many areas. It motivates the staff by letting them participates trough the group discussion, provides quality ideas and time to make good decisions. It’s also reduces the risk of errors. Poor communication will cause many problems that will lead to negatives results.

There are 5 several form and range of media classified as :

  • Oral communication: it’s the fact to communicate and exchange messages used by the voice and a good language. The sender can reinforce his message with an appropriate body language and emotions.
  • Written communication: written messages allow the business to conserve information and to mention more details and data. It can be as a report, letter, memo, diagram or notice on board.
  • Electronic media: it’s a revolutionary support for communication that allows faster and bigger transmission .Internet, email use, intranets, fax messages and mobile telephones have all improved the intern and extern business communication.
  • Visual communication: This is very used support with the aid of oral communication to share information. This form of communication is particularly useful in RH management and operational marketing.
  • Non verbal communication: is a process based on sending and receiving information as body language, voice, touch and distance. All physical environments can be part of a non verbal communication.

We can see that there’s many ways and supports to a business for its communication. A good manager has to choose the best process and strategy communication for his business based on this factors :

  • Size of the business
  • Quantity of information and data to be shared
  • Speed of the process
  • Cost of the process

     We all use informal communication every day, it also take place in every business. It gives intern information about the company in another way from the professional one. Salaries discussing on a lunch table or rest room is a non formal communication.

It can be a good opportunity to the business by creating important feelings of belonging and make the official messages clearer with the help of the colleagues. But informal communication has also disadvantages like wasting valuable working time and can even spread negative rumors which can lead to problems and management failure.
