Character

Nurse : Meredith

Mother : Bertille

Father : Mailys

Intern : Alix

Patient : Agathe

The following dialogue takes place in the emergency room of st Pancras hospital in Manchester city.

Nurse  : Good evening ! So who’s Emily ?

Emily  : That’s me.

Nurse  : My name is Ruth, I’m the nurse in charge. No, don’t move you need to stay still. Can I ask you a couple of questions ?

Emily : Sure !

Nurse : Ok, What’s your date of birth? And where do you live ?

Emily : I was born the fourth of December in 2005. I live in Manchester city.

Nurse : You’re the parents, isn’t it ?

Parents : Yes.

Mother : I’m the mother.

Nurse : What happened ?

Mother : She fell on the ground while she was walking outside with her crutches.

Father : I heard a scream, came outside. She was laying on the ground inconscient. I called her name and she opened her eyes.

Nurse : How long was she unconscious ?  

Father : By the time I get there, around ten second?  

Mother : She says, she doesn’t remember anything about the incident.

Nurse : Emily, can you tell me what is the date today?

Emily : The twelfth of July.

Nurse : Ok, can you explain me what happened ?

Emily : I was leaving the house. I cannot tell you what happened afterward just being in the kitchen with my dad talking to me with a worried face. My body hurt everywhere I can’t even think properly, I’m kinda lost right now.

Nurse : Don’t worry the doctor will come and see you in a minute and explain you what he is going to do for you.

Intern : Hi there, I’m the intern in charge tonight. My name is jerry. I just heard about what happened can you tell me exactly where does it hurt.

Emily : My shoulder, I have a headache.

Intern : Raise you harms and tell me when the pain is too much. Okay then can you move a bit to this side, nice. Can’t you lift it a bit higher ?

Emily : No it’s hurt too much.

Mother : Doctor is everything gonna be alright ? I worry she hurts her shoulder badly like she did with her ankle two weeks ago.

Intern : I can’t tell you for now, we need to do a radiology to confirm my hypothesis, but I think she might’ve sprain her shoulder

Father : Is she gonna be okay ?
