This firm was created in 1887 in Leeds in the north of England by Michael Marks & Thomas Spencer.

First, we have to know that Marks and spencer is one of the biggest British retailers. It sells items for home and clothes of good quality price ratio and excellent food products.

Moreover, the stores attract more or less 21millions customers every week. And there are 78 thousand employees in the UK and 42 other countries.

The customers wait a good quality, that’s the reason why Marks and Spencer works hard with their suppliers.

Since 127 years, Marks & Spencer has 700 points of sale in the UK, and more of 360 stores in particular in Europe and in Asia.

CLOTHING

M&S is the biggest distributor of clothes in the United Kingdom. It sells elegant and innovative articles with an excellent value for money, for all the ages. M&S is the number 1 British of the sales of lingerie as well as women wear and men.

FOOD

M&S is the British leader of the quality food, like for example the grocer's shop, the prepared dishes, a selection of very good wines.

In September 2011, Marks and Spencer puts on-line its international Web site for French (www.marksandspencer.fr).

In November 2011, Marks and Spencer inaugurates a store on the Champs-Elysées and also intends to open of more department stores as well as exclusively food points of sale in the capital.
