MARTHIN LUTHER KING’S SPEECH

Good morning, I hope everyone is doing well. So today I’m going to talk about a speech that I love given by Marthin Luther King in 1963 entitled“ I have a dream”.

First, I’m going to summarize this speech.

Secondly, I’m going to tell you what made “ I HAVE A DREAM “ such a perfect speech.

Third, my opinion of this speech.

Now, my first point, my summary of this speech.

The speech "I Have a Dream delivered by Martin Luther King on 28th August 1963 in front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., can be divided into six paragraphs.

The first and shortest paragraph is the introduction in which he makes clear that he demonstrates for freedom.

In the second paragraph he mentions the hope of black people that was already given years ago but has not been realized yet.

In the third paragraph, King refers to the Declaration of Independence and the fact that blacks are still discriminated and segregated at present time (1963).

In paragraph four, he informs about what has to be done and what has to be avoided to change something.

In the fifth paragraph, Martin Luther King explains that he really wants to change life for those who are not really accepted and ensures that people from everywhere should feel addressed by giving examples.

Let’s face it: Many speeches are boring, even those about important topics that affect our lives.

But it's not the case for Marthin Luther King's speech.

Then, HE REINFORCED KEY POINTS THROUGH REPETITION

I think it is a good way to convince his audience. If there’s an important message you truly want your audience to remember and take away, saying it once is likely not enough.

Furthermore, HIS CALL TO ACTION IS CLEAR AND COMPELLING

Dr. King, of course, is the master, articulating in lucid detail not only the action that must be taken but how he wants
