La Croyance

In the 1950's in Oregon, a black woman nammed Eliza was siting on a bench in the evening. She was observing the river with ducks and sometimes her thought went back into her novel.

Behind, there was a handsome and charming blackman, George Harris, her future husband. He had bought newspaper and he was reding an article. Eliza stood up from the bench and stood behind George.

George and Eliza crossed their eyes, he stared her.

When he looked up at her dress, he was surprised. Eliza's dress was full of colors, her complexion was perfect. Her dark hair was shinning in the light of the floor lamp. The night was really dark. We could see that she had some shapes maybe due to a pregancy. She was rather young but not too much to have a child. She had awesome dark curly hair with a bow similar to the colors of her dress.

At that moment he felt in love with this pretty lady. He went near her and said :

" - Good evening !

- Hi, who are you? " she said with surprise.

" -I think, I've never seen you before.

- It's a possibility but you didn't answer me!" she said with boldness ans mistrust.

" - My name is George. I'm working at Lorry's factory and you?

- I spend my whole time cleaning the house and cooking for my mistress."

Right now, George was surprised, it was a sign of destiny. Why? Because he remenbered that once his master sent him to Eliza's mistress's house to recover truck material. And he saw her there.They carry on talking about their lives.

After a while they decided to fixe a date same days after. A real strong feeling existed between them. After three years of relationship, George decided to propose to Eliza, it was so romantic. Eliza asked her mistress to organize a little ceremony to celebrate their union. Eliza didn't expect to get married a second time after Harry father's death.She was surprised at the proposal of marriage.

As we said before George worked on Lorry's factory. He loves his job but he hated his empoyers.George work a lot. Everyday after work when George went back home he was tired, worn out.His wife wasn't here towelcome him for dinner-time. Little by little George was in poor condition to work. Eliza's work was also hard but it permitted her to have some breaks whereas George's job. On a day of twenty four hours George was all long time at his job for ten hours. The whole day he brought up heavy heights. It was card board box pieces detached.
